Marketing in the news

I’m interested in this article because I’m a football fan. Some important things were that the NFLs rating was up 17% from this time last year. The article also talked about how they think it will continue to go up because of the scenario the NFL is in. They thought it was important that there aren't as many big things going on this year as there were last year. The NFLs sales and attendance is up a lot from last year because they are letting people into the games and not saying much that could make some parties disgruntled by their decisions. They were struggling with getting backlash for people speaking their mind then the other side getting mad because they don't think the same. Another challenge was they weren't allowed to have fans in the stadium because of covid last year. They overcame that by letting fans in this year but either making them be vaccinated or wear a mask. One way some teams attracted fans back was by making the city there more enjoyable for a family not just for the football fans. They did this by making the city more of an event than a football game by making it more fun for everyone even if you don’t like football. It was good because it’s new, it hasn't been done much so it’s risky but risky is safe when you’re doing something like that. It’s hard to say what I would do because what the NFL is doing is working but I wouldn’t have thought to do it but if my team still hasn’t done it I would want them to start sooner than later. The article really proved that it’s ok to do something different because people like when it’s unique.
